"Sonny" earned his ASFA Field Championship in 5 trials - 3 firsts, 2 seconds and a Best in Field at his second field trial. He was also awarded AKC's Senior Coursing title and needed one major to finish his AKC conformation Champion title.
Owner of my heart, I will miss him forwever...

A HOPI PRAYER ~
Do not stand at my grave and weep, I am not there, I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow, I am the diamond glints on snow.
I am the sunlight on the ripened grain, I am the gentle Autumn's rain.
When you awaken in the morning hush, I am the swift uplifting rush
of quiet birds in circled flight. I am the soft stars that shine at night.
Do not stand at my grave and cry: I am not there, I did not die.
El-Kahtir's Asia of Yiil Yiin
November 25, 1987 - December 1, 2002
Elise Hitt holding Asia's brother "Monki" on the left and Asia in Mom's arms on the right - the day we brought the babies home at 7 1/2 weeks of age...
"Aloof and dignifed, yet gay." - Asia was the epitomy of the temperment defined in the standard for the Afghan Hound. She had a wonderful loving family with Mom and Wayne and lived to be 15 years of age. We will miss you sweet girl and will make sure to bring extra biscuits for you when we arrive to greet you again!

GAVRIL DAROMILA AT TWIN PEEKS
"DARABINKS"
2/17/1999 - 11/29/2005
The gift which I am giving you is called a dog, and is, in fact the most precious and valuable possession of mankind. -Gaza-
Truely a precious gift in every way, Darabinks was taken from us by a tragic accident, far too soon. She will live on forever in our hearts and in the memories of all who knew her.
Rest well beloved Clown Princess.

THEA
BIF TPeeks Tiodhlac of Temujin JC
3/9/2002 - 5/12/2006
Life is not measured by the breaths we take but by the moments that take our breaths away.
From her first conformation BOB at 7 months of age, to BIE to win the B. Elise Farrar Memorial Trophy the first time it was offered, to BIF at her first AKC Trial, to BOB at the 2005 II and many moments in between, Thea left us breathless. In limited outings she was major pointed in AKC conformation and coursing and needed only 6 points to complete her ASFA FCH. We are very proud of what she accomplished in her far too short life and honored that she shared that life with us.
We hope that Thea will be remembered for her loving spirit, silly sense of humor, boundless enthusiasm for coursing (and dragging Sue around the coursing fields!!) and always, always killing the bunnies.
Rest well Baby Girl. You get to keep all the bunnies now.
~ Sue & Kris Christie ~
Not to worry Sue & Kris, Elise met Thea at Rainbow Bridge with a big smile and said "Wow, Girlfriend, you're a fine running Irish Wolfhound, you are awesome and how about a kiss on the rubber nose and let's go play!" ... and they are at peace. Well done Thea. Johnb
TALLULAH
Windfern Twin Peeks Tallulah
2/10/1998 - 6/16/2006
Meant to be our foundation bitch and first show dog, our greatest accomplishment was to have Tallulah as our beloved companion and friend. Although she never blessed us with puppies and her show career was less than stellar, she did beat the #1 IW bitch in the country for her one and only conformation point. That was pretty exciting!
Even more thrilling was going to our first field trial and watching her blaze around the practice course thereby opening up a whole new world to us. That she never again condescended to chase plastic didn't matter, we were hooked!
Puppy nurturer and Alpha Bitch extraordinaire, Tallulah ruled her kingdom with an iron paw tempered by a keen sense of humor and fair play.
Good night LooLoo Belle; Dara and Thea have you to watch over them again as you did all their lives.

FIONA
COMET OF WHITEHALL
10/27/98 – 12/6/06
Fiona came to us as a four year old, 90 pound Girl, fearful of everything and everyone and very much in need of a new home. That she blossomed into a loving, happy, healthy and much loved member of our family is a true testament to the indomitable heart and spirit of this most magnificent of breeds as well as a tribute to her breeders. We are so lucky that she found us.
Beautiful, Beautiful Fiona, you filled our lives with grace and love. Forever would not have been long enough....

Reiger
CH Culcara Starfighter O'Big Sky
03/23/02 - 01/22/08
We had admired Reiger from the time he was a youngster and planned on a Fall 2006 breeding between he and our beloved Thea. When we lost Thea, Tallulah and Fiona, all in 6 months, Reiger's owner, Julie McPhail, made the incredibly generous offer of sending him to us so we would not be without a Wolfhound in our home. We can never thank Julie enough for this. Reiger was a joy from the day he came to us and we will hold him in our hearts always.
Sweet, Sweet Boy, that wolf whistle you heard was Thea calling you home.
